The butterfly project

THIS BLOG DOES CONTAIN PICTURES THAT COULD BE TRIGGERING FOR OTHERS

Hello, i have started 'The Butterfly project' to attempt stop self harming. If you dont know what it is below are a list of what you do

1) when ever you have the urge to self harm you draw a butterfly with permenant marker where you want to cut

2) name the butterfly after a loved one or someone who want you to get better

3) let it fade naturally- no scrubbing

4) if you cut you would of killed the butterfly if you let it fade naturally its like it has flown away given you a sense of achievement

5) if you get some else to draw the butterfly on you its more special

I tried drawn butterflies myself but i always ended up cutting because i didnt think they were the much of importance so i got one of my letchers and a friends to draw one on each wrist so i have no temption cause these two people are special to me so i wouldnt hurt them

It was a big step to get them to do this cause they havent seen my cuts and scars before but they know i do it. But my letcher told me that it isnt the answer and should try other things when i have the urge.

How to look after your butterflies if you want to keep them longer than them fading in a couple of days

1) top them up when bits fade draw back over them

2) when showering/batheing wrap in cling-film and secure with medical type

3) pour some talc and rub it in to help with mostiture

If you have never self harmed please do this instead it isnt worth it and addictive. I made a stupid mistake and now i am left with the consequences and the addiction

teenage life

Our teenager years are meant to best years of our life's, no work or responsibility well that what the adults told us, they failed to mention our ragging hormones, superficial friends, drama, emotion and lies that we cant control. This isn't easy it isn't suppose to be and mistakes are bound to be made but we will grow from them. we will grow into us away from these people we are expected to be. basically im just trying to hold on as long as possible because it isn't the best ride but I guess its not the worse either. we all have issues but we choice how we face them we can either turn our backs on them and run or face them head on. I would rather face them head on because when I fight my demons I know I will be on top of the world and will be happier for doing so. Giving up on your issue isn't going to make them go away they will still be there when you try again if you are struggling talk to some one weather It be a friend, a teacher, your parents or guidance counsellor everyone cares about you weather you believe it or not. parents are the worst the make you feel like it world war three but everything they do is in the best intention for you and they care about you even though sometimes they don't have a care in the world for you but if something did happen to you they would be by your side no matter your age. I am constantly getting put down for everything I do, im in college studying a HND (nearly a degree) with brother and sister have no clue how hard it is and when I talk to them about my struggles they seems to spit the dummy and say im attention seeking when all im really doing is needing some reassuring and encouragement they don't see this they have a go at me for everything. they say im big headed cause im trying to make something of my life and I talk about. I wish someone would notice how much pain im in where the only way im going to get out of this trap is by giving up and not talking to any one but I don't want it to be this way but I dont have a choice. for my sister and brother they are going to realise one day how much they have hurt me and I will not forgive them. what ever happen to family helping you in times of trouble I cant even remember this time it been so long I've had enough

Tchnology is taking over

In todays society technology is apart of everyday life no-one questions it, when did it become so main stream. I believe that technology is going to be the downfall of our society as we have so much of it. Now a days people cant leave their homes without their phones and/or tablets, and when they do they have withdrawal symptoms. Technology is everywhere on a person in their homes, handbags and in their cars and thief's are taking advantage of this. We are all obsessive and it doesn't come cheap laptops/computers can cost you anywhere between £350 all the way up to £1000 or more. We used to make sure we pack everything we needed for the day/holiday without second glance at technology. we are all victims even me i'm sitting here writing this blog on a £500 laptop and my phone costing £425 we are we working our bottoms off to earn money to buy technology what happened to the good old days when we used to go out and see friends now most of us find it easier just to Skype call, we don't even go to see films at cinema often we just wait till they end up on Netflix, Love Film or any other format. The next generation are going to be the worst effected, parents are giving their children in buggies their phones or tablets when they are whingeing instead of find out what's wrong. Children as young as five at Christmas are asking for camera, tablets, laptops and phones when most of us were five we looked for Barbie dolls, We are draining our children imaginations even children's toy companies such as vtech are making children friendly cameras and tablets. Its even in the classrooms with touch screen entertainment systems what happened to chalkboards and dry wipe boards. Can anyone answer this.
